Meeting immediate needs through
Essential Services

Essential needs refer to the basic requirements for human survival and well-being. We address the following needs: food, shelter, and transportation. Our goal in meeting essential needs is to ensure a foundation for physical, mental, and emotional well-being so that we can focus on discovering ones identity and legacy.

Transportation

  • For youth: We provide safe, reliable, door-to-door transportation for children who need consistent, long-term support ages 2 - 17 years old.

  • For adults: Lower-income individuals seeking to stabilize their lives often face significant challenges related to vehicle expenses. We address this issue in several ways:

    • Affordable Public Transportation: Providing subsidized bus or train passes to ensure access to essential services and employment.

    • Carpool and Ride-share Programs: Organizing community carpooling options to offer reduced fares.

    • Bicycle Access: Implementing bike-sharing programs or providing low-cost bicycles for short-distance travel, promoting a healthier, eco-friendly option.

    • Vehicle Repair Assistance: Collaborating with local mechanics or organizations to provide discounted or free repairs for essential unexpected repairs or temporary vehicle rentals.

    • Non-Emergency medical transportation: We offer non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) to help individuals access essential healthcare services without the stress of expensive transportation costs.

  • For businesses: We deliver business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) packages with a focus on reliability and efficiency while providing jobs to those who are in our Apprentice Program.

Food

Groceries & household items: We aim to alleviate food insecurity and support the overall well-being of low-income families. We provide support to low-income families who do not qualify for SNAP by offering groceries and household items by an add-to-cart process to those who qualify. Through our food insecurity program, we aim to help with:

  • Family Involvement: Encourages participation from all family members in meal planning and budgeting, fostering teamwork and teaching financial responsibility. Studies have shown that children who eat regular family meals tend to perform better in school.

  • Strengthening Relationships: Regular family meals foster deeper connections and improve communication among family members. Family interactions can reduce feelings of loneliness and anxiety, contributing to better mental well-being.

  • Improving Communication Skills: Sharing meals provides a relaxed environment for open conversations, allowing family members to express thoughts and feelings.

  • Life Skills Development: Involving children in meal preparation and planning teaches them valuable cooking skills and promotes independence.

  • Budgeting: Eating together encourages meal planning and budgeting, which can lead to reduced food costs. Budgeting helps you understand your income and expenses, enabling informed financial decisions and allows you to set/track financial goals, whether it’s saving for a vacation, a home, or retirement.
